God’s Kingdom Come

In today’s gospel, Jesus’ disciples ask him to teach them how to pray. Jesus responds with the words of the Lord’s Prayer….We pray for the restoration of right relationship and wholeness in our connection to God, ourselves, and one another. We celebrate God’s kingdom as we gather around the wine and bread. We pray, “Your kingdom come,” boldly asking that we might embody this kingdom in our own lives. We persistently ask God to make God’s kingdom manifest, and humbly ask God to open our eyes to see where and how God is making it so. Your kingdom come, Lord Jesus. Amen.
