DementiaMatters is a 501(c)(3) organization located here in Winchester. Our mission is to empower the caregiver, both professional and family, with the much-needed knowledge, skills, techniques, strategies, and resources to care for a person living with dementia. Our training program is called “ A Walk in the World of Dementia”. The training program is to teach each attendee the stages of dementia and how to help and work with those living with dementia throughout each stage. Each attendee participates in a unique interactive dementia tour so that they can be empowered with compassion and empathy while better understanding what it is like to live with dementia.

We also provide a support group that meets on the third Sunday of each month, from 2-4 at the Family Life Center of Winchester Church of God 2080 North Frederick Pike Winchester, VA 22603.
