We join in celebration with our brothers and sisters in the Roman Catholic Church for the election of their new Pope, Leo XIV. 🙏
May he proclaim to the world, by word and example, the love of Christ and God’s care for all people and all of creation.
A new Pope is a symbol for the church to see that Jesus remains with us as our living Lord when the world moves from one generation to the next.
In this time of excitement and renewed hope, we ask our Lord to help us build bridges of love and godly concern for those who worship Christ in ways different from our own—and care for others who are members of other faith traditions.
Teach us, Lord, how to love one another. Amen. ✝️
